The issue I am trying to overcome is, visibility attributes. For example, the thermostat sensor reports the room temperature by default, I want the target temperature which is an attribute. The card shows it, but visibilty does not support it by default.

I have started to use visibility for the first time. As you say, it is handy to have an awareness dashboard. I love data and so have made some that are “too” big

Hey guys, anyone else seeing their Android app asking if you want to transfer device to Google Home app? I have this Nest HA automation working well so very nervous to hit 'Continue' but Google Home has no dismiss forever option and each time the Nest doorbell opens in the Google home app is asks me to transfer it to Google Home. Super annoying.. I'm using the integratation to snapshot the Nest doorbell to HA every 1 second which can then be auto triggered to all of my TVs when my secondary Nest Hello battery doorbell is pressed or manually if I hit an Aqara mini switch so I'd hate to lose this handy functionality. What do you guys think? Will it break? @mostlychris

I have the router installed at about 40-50 cm away from the Rpi4 which is used for HA. I want to use SZLB-06 over the network plugged in direclty in of the router ports or in a switch. Can I install it near the RPi4 (50 cm away from the router) or shall I try to go further from the router? Now I have Sonoff Dongle Plus (P) installed "near" the router but separating them with a wall.

No matter how I try to use this card, if I try to add any additional buttons, I get a "No type provided." error. Even if I copy the code in the screen exactly as it is in the demo.

I just can't get my head around all these dashboard changes over recent firmware releases. I'm still adding physical devices, switches and sensors! And building automations in my project. One day I'll get around to these dashboard upgrades!!! Its insane the improvements going on - i can't keep up! im kinda hoping Llama running in HA will end up doing all these upgrades to my dashboard for me one day. To futuristic? Or are we nearly there?!

It's always great to see how people use home automation. I like to have items grouped by how i would let people use them. For example i have my pool and back patio option on a scene so it's easy to turn on an entire area that works together for like a Pool Party or a Back Patio Party. Some items are unavailable to the party folks because i don't want them turning them off / on (ex. Power Plug for a Stereo)

I noticed you had the NWS Alerts on your dash board. I used the Blitzortung Lightning Strike Counter and NWS alerts to try and creat an automation to flash my LED light strings and announce the warnings on my google and Home pod speakers. It worked perfectly for the Blitzortung first try, but the NWS integration just shows the number of Alerts, but does not trigger the automation. I can't really figure out why. We have had more than 60 tornados here in Ohio, I thought this would be helpful. If you know where I went wrong this might make for a good video, maybe even life saving for some folks.....Thanks enjoy your channel.

Your dashboard looks good for you. And for some it can be a daily driver I find myself wanting to create my daily driver and the functions to do it are readily available or easy to use I hope it's a work in progress for HA I truly want an organic fluid feeling dashboard and right now it's utilitarian and they seem to be just recreating that same look again I would highly suggest HA just allow a new dashboard across the board if we so choose to use it

I cant find zigbee2mqtt has it been removed?

How can i install the camera WITHOUT connecting a LAN cable? If the cameras are installed and there is a problem with wifi i have to put all the cameras down to reconnect to the new wifi or may i dont have a LAN installation. In one house i want to use the camera with a smartphone hotspot and cant connect to LAN.

Thanks Chris! I was looking into several (more recent) videos on the subject but yours beats them in clarity and completeness. In case you make an update ;-) I found out the hard way that indeed you need to edit configuration.yaml (create http: section) as you point out near the end. Failing to do so will give you an "http error 400: bad request". Thanks to your help I can now finally manage my holiday home from a distance :D

I eliminated frigate from my Home Assistant blue since it took up so much space, and basically bricked my home assistant with 100% used memory. I have a NUC and a Google Coral. How can I put Frigate on the NUC and have Home Assistant ‘see’ it? I loved the person notifications and would love to get them back!

Will the BT relay network work for a BT keyboard? If you make a scene or action control panel using a BT keyboard (e,g. Numerical keypad) can the key press events be relayed to Home Assistant?

Frigate is pronounced as in "Brigitte" or as in "fry gate"? I'm not a native English speaker so I'm curious about this. I was always saying it as in "fry gate". 😇
